And it's been really great.
One of the best clothing choices I've ever made.
It's warm, it's long and blankety. It's sort of a wine red color.
I even wear it to bed, and when the sun comes up, I can cover my face with the thick velvety collar.
I love my robe, it keeps me safe and gives me shelter.
I'd wear it forever and ever, even in the summer, but I suspect it would be too hot.
I'll have to switch over to something lighter weight soon, but the fact that I can't wear it year round means it'll last longer.
I find that items of clothing which are worn every day only last a year or so before they start requiring more care to maintain in a wearable state!

I like those long cardigans that come down pretty far, but I guess by appearance the robe is more like a long coat.

Now some would hear this and say, "Damn man, sounds like you've really let yourself go!"
And to that my only response would be that I'm not fat. As long as I'm not fat, it's going to be okay.
The truth of the matter is, I love wearing the same clothes all the time.
I like to find an outfit that really makes me feel good, and then I like to wear it forever.
But what that actually works out to is wearing the item for about a year (rotating in between similar items, for example the same thing in a different color)...
And then by that time, it is essentially relegated as a museum piece. I tend to give them one final wash in my special mix of washing powders and liquids specifically suited to these clothing items. Then I seal it away and it becomes a museum piece.

All you have to do is scroll through my channel and you will see examples of some of the items I'm talking about.
Much of the items I wore in the early videos are now retired and put away.
Back around 2012, I conceived the idea of "ensouling" my clothing. I noticed my tendency seemed to be wearing specific items for a long time... and I thought it seemed likely that the act of wearing clothing to that extent really makes it absorb your essence.
Then I was like, hey, why don't we just do this whole ensouling clothing thingy intentionally? You don't HAVE to wear the clothes for a long time... that's one way to do it. You can achieve the same effect by wearing the outfits a few times, taking pics, etc. So anyway, that's how Interstellar was invented.
It was originally to be the brand under which I modified, modeled, and sold exclusive clothing.

Unique pieces that were modified in some way.
Even the robe I'm wearing is modified...
I sewed a big pocket inside it.
It's a small modification but does still count as a mod.

It comes down just below mid-calf and it's so great.
I like it because I can swish it around while I walk and trail it behind me like a cape.
It feels really natural.
I'm wearing it right now.

Robes and huge skirts are great clothes for dancing because you can trail them around and it looks good.

It's kinda like salsa dancing...
No rolling around on the floor with my kind of attire, gotta dress differently for that.

Could you imagine having a sweetass body like that?
That's what my body would look like if I was a dancer!

When it comes to wearing robes as an everyday clothing accessory, one has to keep texture at the forefront of consideration.
You can't simply wear a plain, solid fleece robe with no detail in the stitching whatsoever. It MUST have texture and some form.
Because it's such a delicate matter, people who wear robes a lot as daily attire incorporated into a whole outfit typically go for a sheer, silk fabric robe rather than any type of heavy material.
The benefit to this flowy style is obvious. But what if it's cold?? You have to know how to style a heavier robe, and it's not scary.
It can be done, but one merely needs to grasp the stylistic principles to start the process of exploring robes as a daily fashion piece.

This is one of the standard "silky" (satiny) robes available on Amazon...

I've worn a similar version before as an outfit on a special occasion which you can see in a video on my YouTube channel.
But there are a few things majorly wrong with this style, and with the material it is usually made of.
Firstly, the sleeves are impossible. They need cuffs, and nothing too tight either. Maybe have two buttons optional.
Secondly, the material is horrible. These need to be made of a material that FEELS like it's high quality, but it doesn't necessarily have to be.
The satin shit just doesn't work for casual everyday wear. Not a fan.
Robes are expensive though, not to mention silky ones, and I think finding a robe that suits all my requirements would probably be pretty hard.

You could custom modify the sleeves on that bathrobe with some elastic and stylish scrunchy stitching, but come on, it should already come with some type of cuff.

Nooo WAY.
No way I would pay that.
It's not even the most ideal type of fabric for my daily wear robes anyway, it's not like that bullshit is gonna keep you warm.
I need to stay WARM!!!
