What Ayahuasca Does To Your Brain With Shaman Omar

Shaman Omar has some stellar insights about the human condition, eternity, and so forth.

Some of these podcasts, it's like, hit or miss. Even if they're hit, who has time to watch it? I had low expectations for this, but once Omar started talking that hour and a half passed like ten minutes. This guy is one of those rare people who has no ego wrapped up in the spiritual stuff, but nevertheless knows he's a badass.

When Andrew asked him why he doesn't want to attend a burning man event, his response was "you don't want to put a cobra in the middle of a concert".

so, the hour and a half went by in what seemed like ten minutes, but then the last ten minutes (because it was 140 minutes long) went by like an hour. There was a perfect cut off point and they went past it and then it just started sounding a little lame.

He has two takes on his views; one is the science and the other is spiritual metaphor. Here's an example:

"We were created with certain barriers. Humans are the only animal that walk the earth that cannot eat green leaves and digest and metabolize the DMT (which is in all green foods). In ancient Egypt it was believed that the key to the soul lies in the liver. When we drink the Ayahuasca, it produces an MAOI (Monamine Oxidase Inhibitor)." He goes on to explain that there is an enzyme created to prevent the liver from processing the DMT, and the MOAI bypasses that.

The spiritual side:
"whoever our creator was, stopped us from having access. 'Eat from the tree of life, never touch the tree of knowledge. But if you do, we're going to make sure there's a barrier on top of that; we're going to have two locks on the door in case you find one key. So that's what we're dealing with, ultimately."

Andrew asks "and what would be the advantage of that?"
Omar: "Control. Wouldn't you want your slave race to stay asleep?"
Andrew: "hmmmm...."
Omar: "I mean, why are we still wearing masks now that the vaccine is here?" 
Andrew: (laughs) it's all Fauci...
Omar: "It's all magic. It's a battle between good and evil."
