I've discovered bar soap has the perfect texture for cleaning fabric...

I've had a sordid history with bar soap... anything besides Dove sensitive skin bar really fucks me up. In general I use liquid soap and have for many years.

But I accidentally happened upon the magic that is bar soap pretty recently when I decided to try it on a whim while I was hand washing some of my clothes.

I try to hand wash most of my clothes and air dry them rather than machine washing/drying because I think it greatly extends the life of the clothing. Plus, if I'm honest, I just love washing clothes by hand. Especially smaller clothing items. I love doing laundry in general.

Using bar soap to clean fabric does necessitate adequate rinsing though.

The clothes just feel MEGA clean... they smell extra great too. It's really interesting.

I just take the bar and scrub on the clothes, then I rub the fabric together and really lather that shit up...

Hardcore rinse it and hang it to dry.

Makes the clothes feel better too.

It's way too time consuming for most people to hand wash their clothes, I definitely get that.

But if you have some clothes that require hand washing, try out a bar of soap on that shit!

I've been using this Old Spice soap called 'Swagger' or something like that.

I wish it smelled like classic Old Spice instead, but the smell is very clean and it's pretty nice.

I kinda wanna try out other bar soap scents. I have some Irish Spring in bar form but I already use way too much Irish Spring, kinda want something new.

I like soaps that smell hella manly, like cologne sort of scents. If anybody has suggestions, let me know what you use.

Book
Ya know this is weird when I was young my sister used an apple peeler and scraped off bar soap and put it in the washing machine to use as actual laundry soap.
She doesn't do it anymore but I find this weird.
