They pounce each other and the slightly bigger one gets the other in his mouth and proceeds to straight up eat him.
Made me see shit differently after that.

I've always felt bad for twins in the entertainment industry because they get put in these weird positions with all these sexual undertones... especially the women, but I've seen it happen with dudes too. Even just regular siblings who aren't twins. Worst case of it I ever saw were these two non-twin bros. I ain't linking to anything because I'm still like low key disturbed by it, and it's not something anyone else in the history of ever has probably discussed about the two, I sure the fuck don't wanna be the first to bring it up.

I gave Twitter a rest for awhile. Just started back shitposting in the last couple of days. This lady and I mutually followed each other today. She's my first follower, and doesn't have a huge number of follows or followers herself. She's doing more or less the same thing I'm doing, and the same thing you did when you started Interstellar. You know, mostly posting to yourself and waiting for other people to see the value in it.
I'd actually had zero engagement on this account before today. Despite the slow start on Twitter, I'm not kicking myself for deleting my Gab account. Some of the people in my circle there started showing low-key white supremacist tendencies, and I realized the whole site was sort of like that. Yeah, I had a lot of followers, and probably could've eventually parlayed it into a successful influenza career, but catering to a monolithic mindset - and an increasingly unpopular one at that - would've proven to be an evolutionary dead end in the long run.

You're so right about Gab... scary as heck. I will not join ANY alternative social media sites these days. They're hotbeds of the WORST of the worst. That is just my personal opinion. I just don't think places like Twitter are all that much better because there are SO MANY creepster rings on Twitter alone.
I wouldn't want to own a site like that if I was somebody like Elon Musk. None of those creepster rings should be allowed to exist... if they do exist on your social media site, you're basically guilty by association as far as I'm concerned, because these platforms KNOW these people are running these horrible social rings, by things like hashtags alone.
Crazy political and religious extremists, crazy sick perverts, countless herds of sheeple... that's what you get with social media, and I just hang out here in my own corner of the internet cuz at the end of the day I'd rather be alone than surrounded by shite.
Now that is NOT casting any judgement on peeps using Twitter, because at least Twitter is huge, and (although it's a weakness) they're at least hosting ALL viewpoints and beliefs out there instead of having tunnel vision on "alternative" causes.

I've seen a lot of free speech forums fold because the owners feared the guilt-by-association thing. I'm not quite so fearful about that, as I come from a "red boards" background where everybody was allowed to post their stupidity. I'd much rather run a board like that than one where one side predominates and the opposing side is stifled.

I've been thinking about how my site software could be easily refactored into a social media-style feed site, but I haven't done any work on it. Cheap and lazy bastard that I am, building a presence on Twitter at Elon's expense first seems the way to go. He can afford it. lol

Yeah, TBH... it was truly never my intention to start a forum in hopes that everybody and their mother would join it. I pretty much only use forum software because I literally grew up on it and I CANNOT relate to other software, like WordPress/blogs. I can't get into it. It doesn't strike the kind of creativity in me that I require to become totally obsessive about writing.
It's cool if you have an audience, I'm not saying I don't appreciate the idea of other folks seeing the discussions here. I do talk about things because I want to put them out there in an effort to document what I feel is the TRUTH. Then there are all my personal interests that I discuss as well.
But when it comes to OTHER PEOPLE actually being able to post on my site, I am extremely protective. If somebody starts giving me bad vibes, their days are numbered until I drop the hammer on them for good. I trust my instincts after having ~15 years of forum administration experience. I know my shit.
I always encourage people to start their own personal websites, because you can NEVER depend on someone else's site... you SHOULD NEVER depend on someone else's site. Your time is valuable, your words matter, and at the end of the day, they need to be hosted somewhere they will be kept safe and under your own control/access.

Preaching to the choir. I'm not harping on the "build your own website" thing anymore. You and I have both wasted a lot of time trying to convince people, and nobody listens. As far as I'm concerned, we've posted enough material about it to help those who are really interested.
