S14 E26 - "Exodus 21:22"
This is the season finale.
0:52 I always thought "Reardon" was a strange last name. And isn't putting "murdered" on somebody's tombstone kinda... I dunno, negative?? I feel like it's just uncalled for. Like write their story somewhere else man.
0:58 it's a time reference. The death date on her presumably fresh gravemarker reads 1874. EIGHTEEN SEVENTY FUCKING FOUUUUURRRRR. In a season 9 episode showing a tombstone, it was 1878... https://www.sectual.com/thread-18541-pos...#pid155804
I'ma just say this...
I honest to God can't imagine any reason why they need to be jumping around with the dates like this. Didn't they write down all the dates they ever referenced SOMEWHERE and CONSULT IT when they were gonna make another episode referencing a date/year???????
It's whatever, but I just don't get it. I seriously just don't get it. Even if the TV show was following along with the radio show's scripts sometimes, there is no excuse for being all over the place with the dates.
If you're a creator of ANY type of media... assume that it's gonna last for 100 years, that people are gonna be zooming in on every detail. Just assume it. And do it with serious attention to details like this. Maybe it's a lot harder than I imagine it is. I dunno. But I'm just saying.
2:07 oh man, this guy's getting ready to fuck some people up.
3:45 but in the scene at the grave, it was snowing.
8:50 "It don't blizzard in Kansas summer." Okay so I guess he's saying... the blizzard is what caused them to get stuck wherever they killed that lady. And I guess the husband has been tracking them ever since. So I guess we're to assume that it's now 1875?? So she died in 1874, they've been tracked ever since, and now it's summer 1875. Hopefully they'll verify/explain this.
21:28 I notice a lot of cool flyers, signs, posters, etc. hanging up all around town in this episode.
28:46 so the guy says they've been running for 7 months. That means it's either 1874 or 1875. She may have died at the very beginning of 1874 while it was still winter, and now it may be July or August of 1874. There's no way to know and I'm sure they're not gonna clear it up any more than this.
31:40 "Early blizzard," so I guess that would mean maybe sometime in late 1874. You wouldn't consider a blizzard "early" in north Montana if it was January. I think it's supposed to be 1875.
34:34 but that's the Old Testament bro, so technically like nah, you don't.
39:40 that damn window though... you'd think Doc, the Marshal, etc. would wise the fuck up and get a windowless room for high profile cases. Lmao, just dumb.
42:20 TBH this guy is kind of a dumbass. I don't really care about him.
50:10 how the hell would they even get up to northern Montana from Dodge anyway, lol.
