You're the only thing that keeps me straight, Guest.

Or "person"... whatever.
Pleebs, peons and peasants, oh my!

She doesn't need to buy a "new" car, she just needs to buy ANOTHER car. She should get an SUV or a van... something she can sleep in more comfortably and has more storage. My vote would be an SUV. Some people swear by a 4Runner, but I dunno, I think those people are biased. I've seen those vehicles have issues. Get a pre-2012 Subaru. The new ones have way too many computers and screens and the quality of Japanese vehicles took a dive after 2011 because of Fukushima. Even if things are better now, the vehicles still have too many computers/screens and it's nothing but a recipe for shit breaking and needing to be replaced, which is not always possible because of supply chain issues. Anything pre-2012. If she got an older Subaru (for example) that has been kept in a garage, doesn't have a lot of mileage on it (ritzy regions of states where a lot of retirees relocate to are good places to look) and she takes care of it to the standards she did the old one, it'll last for like a decade. She shouldn't get a vehicle she can't comfortably sleep in because it'll totally fuck up her mental state. Can't lose with an SUV.

Just because she was comfortable (I have my doubts) sleeping in that car doesn't mean another car will work for her.
Besides, the way she was sleeping in it has ALWAYS been gimped up as fuck... why not get an SUV and ACTUALLY be able to achieve comfort, I'm just saying.

Soccer mom van would be the pinnacle of vehicle dwelling, but they don't have AWD. This is why SUV wins.
04-16-2023, 04:24 PM
Supposedly they ARE making SOME mom vans with AWD these days...
But they're far too new to be economically feasible AND they undoubtedly are plagued with screens and tons of extra computers that no one needs and I'm pretty sure no one even fucking asked for sooo... Yeah, not a viable choice. Wouldn't want one if you gave it to me, actually. If it was a magical AWD mom van that didn't have any screens in it, I would take it... But a new one with a bunch of screens and other unnecessary computer related shit, no thanks.

Not a lot of headroom, but even a pre-2010 Subaru would be a better choice than that.
They only started making the Subaru Outback bigger after 2009. Very small window of viable Outbacks... basically limited to 2010-2012. ANY pre-2012 Subaru with acceptable mileage would be perfect. All the screens and electric hybridization is absolutely ruining vehicle options.

Car snobs who consider anything beyond 5 years to be "old" are dumbass pieces of shit and can suck my anus.
Except for they're not good enough to suck my fucking anus.

It's trippy to see this old Katie video. You can tell it's her I guess, but it just really looks like someone else. The vibe even feels like someone else. She looks 15 in that video, and now she looks like 26. I prefer the Katie of today. She's nice and refined, mega hot, and I like the personality she presents to us whether it's toned down like she claims it is or not.

I think Katie is super special and important.
04-25-2023, 02:24 PM
LOl. I watch her stuff too.
04-25-2023, 02:25 PM
She does seem to be super aware of things. She is really interesting.

I absolutely love these OG car/van dwelling chicks.
Katie's an ORIGINAL original, she was in the game before it was even popular. I just feel like she's come such a long way as a person in general since her journey began... Hopefully she'll always make videos.

Yeah, she does have an awesome personality too. I like that she just thinks about stuff super hard. lol.

I think I like her because she gets super emotional about things. It is kind of refreshing to see someone react to things in their life with so much real emotion.
Dude, when she talks about the fire that happened in her house when she was younger... She is SHOOK from that, so hard. That is like the one thing in her life that made the biggest impact on her. What do you think?
04-25-2023, 08:48 PM
Oh I discussed the fire topic way earlier in the thread years ago...
That's one subject she gets really pissed about when people try to downplay the experience. We can only gauge it based on what she said about it, we dunno what really happened and whatnot. I think trauma is subjective... Some people go through bad stuff, some people go through less bad stuff, but they're all affected by it to the same measure... It's a very personal thing, nuanced subject and I'm not an expert. I think every single person needs to go through therapy before the age of 25, because I think every last person is traumatized over some shit, no exceptions.
04-25-2023, 08:51 PM
Oh yeah, I agree. I think that you are right, she has anger about it... good catch.
Yeah we all have traumatic experiences that are hard to get past. They make big impacts on how we see the world. Sorry I did not mean to spin it negatively by saying she was shook. I said in my next sentence, it was an event that had the biggest impact on how she see's the world. I have a few traumatic experiences like that myself. |
