I finally sewed the pillows yesterday, took like 4 hours lmao.

I think that will be enough pillowmaking for me for the foreseeable future.

They came out great though.

Well, it was split up over 4 hours while I did other random stuff, and I sew by hand, but I made precisely two pillows Dev.

I had to sew up the sides of the cases, stuff them, sew them shut etc.

I don't use sewing machines, I just don't vibe with that scene.

If I did, everything would be 10 times faster.

I was taught how to sew by hand and never had interest learning any other way. People have tried to teach me how to use the machines but I just think it sucks. I don't wanna do things that way.

The most time consuming part is actually pulling apart the fill and getting it fluffy... you can't just stuff it in there right out of the bag, it's super compressed and it has to be picked apart. I actually concluded that messing with those tiny fibers is probably bad for you. I dunno for sure though. I had the shit all over me by the time I was done.

Yeah, I am obsessive about stitching. That's one thing I never trusted about the sewing machines... I dunno how good the stitching really is. If I double stitch an edge by hand, that fucker is not coming apart. Ever. Lol.

I stitch once, then I stitch again with new thread. If one stitch breaks, the other will still be hanging on. It's excessive though... for most of the stuff I make, especially the pillow I made before these last two. It was double stitched and I just ended up seam ripping it back open to use the stuffing on two separate pillows instead.

Speaking of Bill, I want to get Bill and Alice a cat wheel before they arrive.

Anyways... the lab. This is the same kit I showed you before, except on desks.

This setup will be moved to the space occupied by the bed on the left when it's removed.

Everybody should have at least one of these desks. They're stable and spacious. They fold up, and they have height adjustable feet to level them. Many uses.
