Recently experienced this at a dry lake bed in CA. The mud sticks to everything, it will not come off your vehicle, it stains forever and it is very alkaline. Slippery as ice. Any ruts in the mud will last forever, good luck to all trying to exit that place.

How do you get signal to upload to YouTube? I've watched a handful of Burning Man vids and lots of them say there is no cell signal. If you have a way of getting more info out you should do it, because you can't find any boots on the ground videos right now. Stay strong guys.

Apparently the alkaline "mud" can cause chemical burns.

Its acid mud lye mud would be ok with water.
But it depends on pressure and temperature and what kind of acid.
Sodium Hydroxide has to be heated in pressure I mean just like hydrochloric acid it can do damage.
But is usually does things to rocks metals. Sulfuric acid pentaflouric acid no water going to help you.
Hydroflouric acid you need injections over time to stop it eating your bones.

The playa will never be the same after this shitshow and hopefully the BLM will not renew the permit for the event to take place next year. Burning Man needs to find a new home. Those ruts are gonna dry like cement, vehicles will be stuck in that shit and it'll be a nightmare to get them pulled out.
