That's one restless, skittish dinosaur man. I had no idea their tongues were so long... Could you imagine that feature on the huge dinosaurs of olde? Friggen yikes.

Lol they tried but this song just reminds me that the swan is a Jr. dinosaur

The swan is also a good reminder...

So I've been thinking.
We know that birds are nature's alarm clock... Along with sunrise, they'll wake you up. You don't need a gadget, it's built in. But what about when birds start singing at night? Sure, it's rare. Happens on a full moon sometimes, usually it's just one bird, maybe a couple. I think that the number of birds singing directly correlates to how alert we're supposed to be. So when ALL the birds start singing, it's time to get up. But when one or two birds are randomly singing in the middle of the night, maybe it means we're supposed to be somewhat alert at the time. It'd be a localized phenomenon. And it doesn't necessarily require fully getting up and checking things out, but... What if it means that maybe you COULD get up, sorta take a look around, peer into the night and see what's going on, take notice of something. What if there's a certain level of synchronicity involved and you're meant to witness/experience something you'd otherwise miss?? I think I'm gonna experiment with this. Of course, it's VERY rare to hear birds at night, at least in my experience. But I think if we lived a little closer to nature and it was a little more accessible to us from where we sleep... It might be beneficial to get up and take a look around outside whenever we hear a bird in the middle of the night. I think there's something to it.

The birds could be reacting to a cat, or some other night predator.

Pretty strange that just a few days ago I heard a lone bird singing in the middle of the night.
I'd gotten up to close the window and I remember thinking it odd not just because of the time but also because of the temperature. Not freezing but probably 30s or low 40s... seemed cold for a night bird. I did peer into the night, and saw nothing unusual... It was coming from off in the distance, not one of the trees near my window where the alarm clock birds will soon start showing up way too early in the morning. Anyway, I guess it's kind of a synchronicity that I'd read this post of yours within a week of it happening... Definitely not the weirdest one I've had on here, but it might be the first that's bird related.

Don't ask how I found this out but if a night bird gives you a hex you can break it by clicking this link and playing all 10 simultaneously. It might also be good to do as a preventative even if you're not currently hexed

I've started paying attention whenever I hear a particularly loud bird... I usually know exactly what it means if I think about it for a few seconds.
Think about how many birds there are... it's the one ACTIVE thing about nature that you can first notice when you step outside. Dinosaurs must have been EVERYWHERE. "Humans make up just 0.01% of Earth's life" https://ourworldindata.org/life-on-earth

I just went and dumped some old stale cereal out in a specific area of the yard where I can easily hear the birds from inside, and now they're going the fuck OFFFFFF.

Playing with nature is entertaining as fuck... I am not an outdoorsy type, don't like the blood sucking and stinging pests at all. But it's great other than that.
