If you examine your life, you will see what you're actively attracting...

It's no coincidence that people with similar interests find their way into our lives. That's only one example. Synchronicity is the language of the universe.

We are constantly attracting... the people and events we encounter come to us based upon our output.

History repeats itself... it's all cyclical. Whatever has happened in the past... you can expect a variation of the same thing to happen again in the future. Life is one sequence of expansion after another. That's why history repeats itself... to expound upon the meaning and intricacies which underline events.

There really is nothing new under the sun!

I attract artistic and creative people I think, or at least that's what I'm attracted to. I've got some very talented friends!

Trix do you think babies can just be born with bad karma ?  I was stabbed in the stomach(8 inch jagged scar)  at less than 6 months old and was then taken by the state and placed in foster care then adopted. Needless to say it's been rough as the family that adopted me turned out to be just a tad on the deranged side and I didn't escape childhood without several concussions and a trip to the mental hospital. I just feel like my life has been a series of unfortunate events even though I strive to be a good person and get stability .  So I am a bit confused  as to how much of my life is self inflicted and how much is just bad inherited karma.

Guest, it's an interesting thought, isn't it?

Much like I said in this video...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8-LlicY_N4

Pain and suffering is inherent in life... it's there as a DEFAULT. That's what we have to consider if we're to bring children into the world... why force an innocent soul into this world when we know the experience is wrought with pain and suffering? Sure, there are good times. But the bad times are equal in magnitude to the good times when they do occur. Optimally the bad times would occur very infrequently and we would be coasting along on either neutral or good times. But the bad times will happen, and when they do, our perception will be that they are just as strongly negative as the good times were positive.

Having said that, one could also argue the "zoomed out" aspect of things...

If you look at the planet from above, and watch it like a timelapse...

The human organism is a succession of lives upon lives, constant birth/reproduction/death...

We all came from a line of people who also came from a line of people...

Those people mixed in and we're created from whatever the essence of their experiences was.

We are the summation of our ancestors. We are the continuation of the human organism, therefore, our ancestors.

Perhaps before you stepped into this body, you were someone else who did terrible things. Maybe what happened to you WAS karma. But there's basically no way to verify that, and the theory really only holds weight because of the idea that we DO come from our ancestors, and maybe our ancestors did some fucked up shit.

We have to look at the WHOLE, rather than the individual lives... as the individual lives are merely a continuation of what was.

That said, I would be more on the side of 'suffering is inherent in life itself' to explain bad stuff that happens to babies. The whole karma (action/reaction) thing is fairly untraceable in any kind of practical way, whereas what we know FOR SURE is that indeed, suffering is inherent in life.
