I wish the user who mentioned poltergeist like occurrences during intense emotional moments posted more.
I’ve actually experienced something similar.
I wonder if shit like that is a lure to let go...then you do, and regret it.
I have a general distaste for engaging in woo outside my own culture, but there are strong links between native shamanic stuff and tobacco.
The ginger in the desert smoked compulsively when he thought he was drawing with magic crayons.
I did too. For almost the same reason.

But in the interest of rationality, I’ve got this thought, too:
Nicotine is a powerful stimulant.
Stims make people super paranoid.
And sometimes see shadow people.
Stimulant hypersensitivity could cause delusions.
So does stimulant withdrawal.
I’d be interested to know if avoiding all stims including nicotine and caffeine for long enough to get past withdrawal, impacts schizophrenic symptoms.
