By "saving" these cities, they mean cutting them off from the rest of China, and the world.

I think that should be noted.

I don't think many people are going to fully realize what that means on the first read.
In black & white, right in front of them, as cold and harsh as it is, this means many
MILLIONS of people are not only going to die but are not even going to have a chance 
to fight for survival. I get the "sacrifice the few to save the many" thing but that doesn't
make it any easier to swallow.

Fuck. If this doesn't illustrate where we are right now and just how fucking serious this
shit is, then I guess it's back to instagram and counting your likes.
