I'm not great with the word thingies as it pertains to the feels and whatnot...
I never stop seeing the world from a matrix perspective and so I can never really comfort people in a normal human way.
I leave that up to others, although from what I've experienced from some people in my own times of pure and total loss, they're not great at it either.
People will always disappoint, even in the worst times... that's why it's important to be your own greatest strength, and I think Zane is good at that.
