So Yuzuru Hanyu is the second dude to win the Olympic gold twice in a row, not surprising. The last guy was in 1952, Dick Button. Weird name. Wonder what his deal was?
As for chicks, Sonja Henie won gold 3 times in a row from 1928-1936.
Katarina Witt won twice, 1984-1988...
Katarina Witt - 1988 Calgary Winter Olympic Games, Ladies' Short Program
Great outfit, total hottie, but I feel absolutely nothing.
Looking at this list really puts in perspective how rare it is to win that gold, man... gotta say. I'm so glad Oksana Baiul got her name up there, so deserved... she's such pure and total legend.
Let's check out Tara Lipinski, won in 1998...
Tara Lipinski - 1998 Nagano - Ladies' Free Skate
Gotta say, that is an absolutely baller costume.
She's definitely gorgeous AF.
Seems like I remember hearing her name at one time or another.
I feel nothing whatsoever watching this chick though.
1:32 she tore it the fuck up hard right there though, definitely amazing.
It's all purely technical greatness though, nothing that really inspires the feels... although she looks very happy which is nice.
Hmmm let's see, Sarah Hughes won in 2002, let's check her out. 2002 was a pretty whack year so I expect the Olympics will probably reflect that and be weird as fuck in an inexplicable sad/bad kinda way...
