This is probably nothing but I couldn't help but to let my mind linger
on this thought of "social distancing". And while in its current context
I FULLY agree with and support it, there's just an underlying feeling
that hints of something darker, sinister even.
I'm reminded of the Bruce Willis movie "Surrogates" and all the VR stuff
being pushed as the "next big thing" the last several years. Just seems
like there's something there. An "in" for them to capitalize on.
There certainly wouldn't be any more yellow-vest protests or Hong Kong
protests if more people were self-isolating because they've found a more
peaceful, rewarding environment in the digital realm. Surely, we've already
got that, to an extent, with the Internet. But I'm guessing that's still not
"deep enough" for them. They need more of us completely submerged.
Anyway, it was just a fleeting thought.
