Some of the most memorable, lovable people I have ever encountered online (and still love to this day) have been serious troublemakers. Some of them, legitimate spammers (the hater kind). Some of them, actual hackers (coders gone bad). They hold a special place in my heart... and perhaps not everyone has had this experience (because most people don't run their own sites, do they?) so they are not aware of how great these people can be. They are ignorant to that fact... and that is why I recommend schooling your mods about these folks, just so they know.
