I remember an old laptop that would rev up on me all the time. A friend of mine
told me it could be from too much "background" activity. Also, CPU strain if I was
running several things at once [ex. Windows, Flash Player, Audacity, whatever else]
and if there were several other things running in the background, shit that you're not
even currently using or aware of, that can kick up the fans. But that laptop was on the
old side, even back then, so there were several factors going on.
