Yes, and no.
I think due to the sort of ethereal fused with intellectual properties of the internet, it's harder to fool people. If you're an agent, you would have had to be one from childhood basically.
Or you'd have to be the most brazen psycho ever to pull off a legitimately believable persona in a shorter amount of time...
