it's offtopic, but my current line of research indicates there was a global reset just a few hundred years ago. the history of america is a lie, as well as the rest of the world. in the 1800s, a group of people started reclaiming and repopulating what is now america. everyone that wouldn't go along with their plan was killed or put in insane asylums, of which there used to be a staggering amount of large asylums around. there was also a staggering amount of large orphanages, which trafficked the children of those who died in the reset or who wouldn't go along with the plan. they systematically repopulated existing city areas that had survived the event[s].
a significant amount of the country was raised by people who weren't their parents, who didn't love them, and chose to create a society of lies. most were inevitably abused, which was then passed down to their descendants like a spiritual virus. most people brought up through lines like these are lost causes.
the idea of america, and the exceptional individuals therein, are very much not a lost cause. they wouldn't be trying to destroy what's left if it were.
