I bet if you just started reading it on your kindle you'd forget about the desire for a physical copy.
I'm not saying you're doing this, but I've had an ebook that I wasn't reading (Hyperion by Dan Simmons, for instance), and told myself I wanted a physical copy, but then it arrives and I never get around to reading it. For me it's like an inevitable lack of interest that was disguised as a romantic notion.
