It's been a while since the last time I saw him in person, I think it had to have been 2014. Couple of years before the grandma that raised him died (and his mom, for that matter). He's been a controversial figure in our family for as long as I can remember but I've always been in awe of how the dude just constantly learns new skills/trades and adapts to wild new environments on the fly.
My mom was always kind of in awe of how little of a shit Zane's mom gave about him. Plenty of stories about how she never knew where he was at any given time, randomly running into him while out of state as a teen and only commenting on his hair color. Finding out he was drinking at age 14 and making fun of him because it was peach schnapps. I heard that he crashed her funeral and made a huge speech about how awful she was, it was apparently such a shitshow that his grandma's funeral was made *super* private (too private for me to be able to attend lol). Can't say that I blame the guy after what she put her kids through. Zane's brother actually has cerebral palsy because she tried to abort him with a drug overdose.
Wish I knew where his kids were. I suspect his wife's mom has them now (I'm sure if I waded through the video backlog I could get a concrete answer; maybe someday).
He's got his problems but damn I still love the crazy fucker
FYI - Zane is currently out on bail, his kids are in a
foster home and his life is in complete shambles.
