The article even admits that the only reason CryptoKitties 'died down' was because the media stopped talking about them after the first year or so.
So there was a decrease in traffic, sure, but it was still being used and can still be used forever with the current model.
There is no reason to consider CryptoKitties dead, and the entire crypto pet market hasn't even fucking BEGUN.
Every coin is like a pet in and of itself... once the coins have a visual representation like these crypto pets do, it's going to be revolutionary.
But CryptoKitties came first and unless they've said they're closing (good luck with that), they should remain for as long as crypto exists.
