As discussed above, the Langoliers is a story/film about timelines etc.

And this is the other part of the message...
"Wings of Desire" (1987) is a film about angels who can't be seen by humans (other than children, sometimes) and some of these angels decide to become human (usually after they fall in love) so they can experience life.
