I suppose if his overarching point regarding governance and globalism is taken in to account, you could then take into account the potential for an implemented plan to weaken/marginalize crypto.
The founder of Ethereum says as much (about the potential to undermine) in this interview with Lex Fridman (uploaded today), when he offers Lex his "worst case scenario" for how government might regulate or limit cyber currency. 18:35
