I think it's a myth that civilized people don't pick their noses in front of people.

I think the hardest part is not feeling weird about it when you snag a big juicy boog and you gotta find something appropriate to smear it on and throw it away.

I've seen people deal with that in... less than graceful ways, and I'm just saying, this is one rule of public nose picking that needs to be carefully adhered to.

Have somewhere to wipe your boogers before you start digging around in there.

Now, some people try to just pick their noses with a tissue over their finger, but I find this doesn't provide the right traction or texture for successful dislodging.
