Now, this isn't about the Wu-flu but don't think they won't try to tie it in if for
no other reason than to compound the big picture into a longer buffet table at Club Fear Porn.
I do not watch nor keep up with the news. Unless it's something I catch here on the forum
[that sounds dirty, lol] and decide to look into a little deeper. Well, YT caught me slippin'...
Alright, I'm not any kind of authority on anything, but lemme pose a few questions here:
1) How do the royal families of the world factor into this? Their mind-boggling sprawls, castles
and fortunes untold? Are they downsizing? How much juice does it take to power-up good olde
Buckingham Palace every fucking day?? Come on Europe! With your fucking kings & queens, speak
up! To those who are given much, much is expected, right? Can't blame America forever! It's gotten
to be way more than even a westernized problem, it's global now!
2) Generationally wealthy families. In most cases - not too far removed from the royal bunch.
These people end up, for better or worse, as the leading names in business and industry. The
Rockefellers; to name one we're all familiar with. Are they donating any of their land holdings
or properties to house and provide for needy people using a much more carbon-footprint-friendly
energy design? Because God knows they've got the coin to put that kind of initiative into play!
Several birds, one stein.
If not, are they at least minimizing their own footprint? Changing out business practices where it
applies and doing more with less? What's their human-bodies-to-square-feet ratio in the mansions
they call home? I know, I know - "it's theirs and they can afford it!" - still doesn't change the fact
that it requires resources that bear a significant impact on environmental stresses. Lead by example!
3) Hemp! I'll say it again. HEMP!! It's been known about forever - but to be extremely generous, I'll
just say "since the thirties". Even better - the 1950's. All the benefit for that doubt. I'll say another
word... PLASTIC! Yeah, plastic. I know you all know where I'm going with this. Not only with products
made of plastic but a literal laundry list of other things that could be made, and made in superior
form, with hemp instead of plastic. Why the hemp hate? Why would anyone rape the Earth to make
biologically UNfriendly materials when there exists a natural source that could not only cover most
if not all bases for plastic needs - it would do so with a FAR smaller imposition on the Earth, the
environment, be less expensive from start to finish AND provide a long list of other products used
daily around the world from clothing to textiles, bricks, food, paper, it is near endless!!
If we could honestly address this, I think more people would not only take it seriously but also
feel less overwhelmed by the enormity of it all. Hell, let's just start with the hemp/plastic ordeal
and see where that gets us. NO? Thought not.
Until people can answer the hard questions and make the difficult changes:
FUCK your high-jacked "science" and your party-specific fear porn!
