It all comes down to the Leftist’s penchant for magical (illogical) thinking. The idea that mankind can control the temperature of the earth is the same deranged idea that a man can be transformed into a woman and vice versa. This kind of thinking has been used quite effectively by the Marxists to pursue their goal of destruction of Western Civilization.
You seem to be addressing so-called global warming in particular. I think the OP is talking about a broader spate of environmentally destructive activities, which no one denies exist.
