My aunt made this broccoli salad for me when I went to visit her the weekend before Christmas. I liked it so much, I made it for Christmas dinner.
Besides being tasty and nutritious, it's hands down the best cure for constipation I've encountered.
Boomer Advisory: You're gonna need teeth to chew it. If you just don't like raw broccoli, I don't know what to say to you. Repent, maybe?
4 cups broccoli florets, cut up small
8 slices bacon, fried, drained, and chopped
1 cup seedless red grapes, cut in half or quartered if very large
1 cup raisins
1/4 cup chopped red onion
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
4 TBSP sugar
1 TBSP apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup mayonnaise
Mix the sugar, vinegar, and mayonnaise to make the dressing. Combine everything in a large bowl and stir until coated with dressing. Cover and refrigerate for a few hours. Stir again before serving.
