I think its got a lot to do with root certs.
Which are generally downloaded separately.
But in new FF versions Mozilla don't trust the trust providers.
The update thing shits me but when I turn it off (which you're not supposed to be allowed to do now) then FF stops working after time internets don't work.
Im sure I could configure it to work just to much hassle.
Mozilla don't trust the trusted ones which neither do I.
