That's actually one of the things that makes me extremely sad about being a kid...
I remember my childhood and the way I felt about all kinds of stuff with stunning clarity.
There's no way I'd ever wish that on another person, which is why I refuse to have kids.
Kids are so excited about things. They take shit seriously when they want something...
Like that slinkie. I'm serious when I tell you I thought it was coming EVERY day, so I'd wait for the mail...
I'd be all disappointed every time it didn't arrive. Which was a lot. For a long time.
It's just so sad to me. That's why I believe in instant gratification.
I'm all about drones dropping our packages off same-day at our doors.
Was it important for me to be a kid and experience the anticipation of receiving something slow-boat, snail's pace via the mail?
Meh, I guess. Would it have been as important to me if I had gotten it instantly? I guess not.
But damn, that waiting though...
