I never call people by their names.
In fact, if I do, it's usually under fairly negatory circumstances, kinda like how your mom calls you by your full name when you're a kid and you're in trouble.
I don't typically use peoples' names in conversation, because if I'm talking to them, it's pretty clear that I'm fucking talking to them.
I don't prefer people to say my name to me either. I simply just don't like referring to people, or being referred to, by name.
I think names are archaic, outdated, and totally overused. How many other people in the world have your name? Exactly.
This is what I meant when I was talking about my sigil...
I can never remember character names in movies. I don't care about what peoples' names are. Sometimes I can't get them right even when I've known/of that person for years.
In short, I believe that the Age of Aqua includes moving away from names and into a more energy-essence-consciousness based way of referring to people.
That said, when I'm writing, I do very often refer to the subjects I'm addressing by their names. It is far less awkward and sensorily jarring in writing than it is in voice.
There's nothing wrong with you.

I've devised a symbol/sigil that I use to sign things rather than using my name, and I very much prefer it. It's actually featured on every page of this site, but I won't say where it's located.
