21:10 yeah... I definitely WANT to treat people with compassion and just try to practice compassion in general. But it is so fucking hard sometimes, especially when you think about all the wrong that has been done to you, and to others. I don't always succeed at being compassionate. But I wanna be. That said, I've arrived at the same conclusion as Sage, and he's a lil late to the party. I got there a while back. I am absolutely done with (romantic) love, I have zero desire for it anymore, and I also have no legitimate desire for sex. All of it is gone, for the first time in my life, I can honestly say I'm free from it. I do still think dudes are hot now and then, and I have my reactions (mostly in the realm of thought, almost never in the body). But there's nothing within me that actually wants to be with them on any level.
I think as time marches on, we have experiences in life, and we gain wisdom from those experiences... it's inevitable that we will come to these kind of conclusions about love. I think that's the beauty of growing older. You are able to let go of something that used to take up so much of your time (giving almost nothing in return to you), and it frees you up to pursue things that are so much more fulfilling. It frees you up to experience genuine happiness, passion, and direction.
22:00 part of me thinks Sage does stuff like pays the phone bills so that he can play the martyr on some level. It's fairly innocuous in terms of ways that people could play the martyr role so as to throw it in others' faces. But it's still kind of annoying. He should really stop. Definitely stop paying for his most recent ex's phone, at least. She's working on shining up some new dick, and it's totally inappropriate for Sage to literally facilitate that by paying for her phone. The other girl is definitely more worthy of that phone bill getting paid, she comes from bumfuck nowhere with like zero opportunity whatsoever. His most recent ex? Not the case whatsoever. Stop paying that bill, bro. At the end of the day he's just giving himself reasons to be bitter in moments of weakness.
