"Gunsmoke" (1955) - Review & Commentary
S9 E18 - "Once a Haggen"

Guaranteed Festus in this episode... *popcorn & lust*

1:34 there's absolutely nothing that isn't legendary about Festus.

1:44 holy shit, it's SLIM PICKENS!!!!!!!!! Not only did he have one of the GREATEST 'stage names' of all time, but he was also in Blazing Saddles (1974). And let's not forget his legendary 'riding the bomb' scene in Dr. Strangelove (1964).

3:03 oh well this guy definitely isn't gonna get robbed or anything.

10:17 "You ain't surmisin' it was me, are ya?" Roflmfaoooo, 10+ for not only the use of the word "surmising" but for dropping the 'g' from it too. Just wow.

10:46 "The dude?" Roflmfaololol. Every time he says it, I crack up. He pronounces it "dewd"... rofl.

14:58 it's obvious this guy did it.

26:02 yeah, Ken Curtis was a singer and they've got him showing off on this one.

28:08 Festus's woman is a little bit less annoying in this episode. She makes a couple more appearances and then they do away with her thankfully though.

29:09 lol this is fuckin' scandalous, I love it.

29:30 it's SLIGHTLY ridiculous that this singing ability is coming from the character of Festus, but I'm gonna look past it. I'm just saying that anyone as talented as Ken Curtis is formidable.

38:16 how did things go from this to Festus being a deputy marshal? Lmao!
