I love words/writing, so to me, having an autograph will always be better than taking a photo with someone, or just meeting someone and having nothing to show for it physically.
The fact that you touch the paper/photo, sign it, hold it... it's a really beautiful energetic exchange that is actually tangible.
There's a great site that you can do research on to tell you whether or not the autographs are real or if they're autopen.
I never go for autopen. I do only real autographs. I do a lot of research comparing autographs over decades to make sure the one I got is likely to be real.
I'd say 90% of my collection is real without a doubt.

Some of them have been low key disappointing, and there was one that I literally just fucking rolled my eyes at when I got it, lmao (looking at you, David Copperfield).
