"Gunsmoke" (1955) - Review & Commentary
S12 E5 - "The Good People"

00:45 why, I do believe those are steers!

1:46 *gratuitous gunfire*

4:14 "Wait a minute, fellers, yer actin' hastily!"

4:22 lol, I wonder what the horse is thinking right now =\

4:45 he totes is innocent though, poor guy.

5:20 uh oh, they done goofed. LOL, these two just killed that guy in cold blood! That's what they get for being greedy over their cattle! A little rustlin' every now and then is a good thing! Spoilsports.

5:37 the guy's shadow all dancin' around on 'em, man that is hardcore yo.

7:12 THAT DOESN'T 100% SEEM TO BE HELPING THE WAY THIS GUY FEELS.

7:49 if I was Seth, I'd GTFO of there right now and ride on to San Fran.

8:08 badass chaps, they just need spikes up and down both sides.

9:18 oh shit!

9:33 lmao, oh they're screwed.

9:40 this whole "smoke a pickle" statement Festus keeps making... well, I guess it just makes me wonder what came first, the chicken or the egg?? https://www.bonappetit.com/entertaining-...n-a-pickle I feel like none of that explains it.

10:37 this guy just fucked himself HARRRDDDD.

11:20 it's not like they're ever gonna believe him... omg.

11:50 well Doc knows he wasn't shot anyways.

13:08 "You're sure this is the right tree?" rofl.

14:00 oh for FUCK'S sake.

14:32 this guy has a point, I mean that's really twisted. When you've got cold blooded killers questioning your actions, you know you're fucked up!

15:00 lol, that was NEXT LEVEL.

16:30 really love this beautiful shot by the undertaker's office.

17:38 this guy has no conscience, for real.

17:49 well if it's only the two of them who are gonna hang, he can just jet anytime.

20:50 they've all got these super blue eyes... I dunno what kinda filter magic they're using here, but they're using something because there's no way that's normal.

27:22 "HE is!" roflmao, this was such an iconic scene between Ken Curtis and Shug Fisher.

28:12 shiny vest guy is giving me Freddie Mercury vibes.

30:03 that's a really interesting shade of blue... it's a warm muted blue. How is that even possible? I'd call it... confederate blue.

30:55 all their skin looks too perfect... it can't REALLY be that perfect.

38:20 their goose is extra cooked now.

41:10 WTF did he think was gonna happen when he went back there!?

42:42 this is the classic Cain and Abel situation.

43:40 that was a beautifully done "lingering" closeup scene and transition/fade... they still do them in some scenes, just not as much as they used to.

44:00 that's a super creepy looking grave.

44:58 now it's 2 against 1.

It was a good story, but I think they went a little too easily. Something about it seems unlikely. I could think of a few alternate endings.
