I just think there needs to be a lot more safety in place for each partner in marriage...
The whole system needs an overhaul. The whole 'take half' thing is pretty unbalanced.
It needs to be an asset based situation.
I feel like marriage is for sheeple on some level, it just seems sheeplish.
Marriage should be revolutionized, and automatic.
If you spend a certain amount of time with another person (a percentage, high) over the course of years, you should be legally considered married.
If you go your separate ways and one or the other person puts out a public notice saying so, they should be considered divorced and their assets divided to each other accordingly.
