The thing is, I'm sure I've talked plenty of times about 'bots' in the matrix, it IS a thing.
But it's also true that EVERY consciousness vector point contains the SOLE consciousness of God, which means IT'S ALL ENSOULED. Nothing "doesn't have" a soul.
Sure, we may encounter evil pieces of crap that we'll angrily call "soulless", but the truth is, they DO have souls, as dark and fug as they may be.

Because she's Rich's significant other, she can't just be plain "filler" or a "bot", she's gotta have something special that sets her apart. So she's a "long term" human, which has superiority over all the rest of the "regular" humans...
