It's not a hard choice. They make it easy for you to walk away in disgust.
There was a woman on Twitter whom I mentioned here once. I think it was in a thread about narcissistic abusers. She had planned to use her social media to launch some kind of support or self-help or self-improvement enterprise. The other day, after about a month's hiatus from Twitter, she deleted her Twitter account. I asked her why. She said she was going to focus on her own happiness and well-being, and stop trying to save the world. And she's right. You can't save the world. The world doesn't want to be saved. The world is probably beyond salvation.
