Even if you lived in the northern part of one of those states, you could travel to the south every now and then to get some vitamin D from the sun.
There's a difference between supplementation, and ACTUAL sunlight on your skin... people don't get that. You need the sun on your skin for optimal growth exactly the same way a plant does.

When I saw that map today, it made so much sense. The best places I've ever been to, particularly in solo road trips, were those places with the acceptable levels of year round vitamin D synthesis. They just FEEL different.
