The day shelter and night shelter both have kennels. Today, the biggest legion of staffers and volunteers I’ve ever seen turned out at the night shelter to do what? Fix the human accommodations? No. To tear down and rebuild the kennels.
They apparently put a new fuse in the coffee urn though. This morning, they had coffee that was basically brown water.
Homeless people "owning" dogs is one of the weirdest phenomena in the fucking world.
I equate it to people using pets as their emotional dumpsters.
Especially if it's a little dog, cuz you can't even count on a small dog for security, can you???
