The most important thing is to have a change of clothes for when the other clothes are drying.
I used to wash my clothes with the hand soap in a gas station bathroom and then go park somewhere and clip/tie the clothing items to the top of the car and let them dry during the day.
It works but it takes all day and this is why I go for quick dry materials (cotton, poly, etc.) over anything heavy like denim.
