It's beautiful, but it's also really sad... this feeling seems to be fundamental to the plight of humanity.
Music triggers those kinds of memories though... if there was no modern music as we know it, I wonder if other things would strike up this kind of nostalgia in us?
If it wasn't music invoking these strong memories and feelings, what would it be? I don't think I've ever experienced them when music wasn't involved.
