I bet she would have lived a long normal life had she moved out to the country and bought a big acreage like in that picture , but I think by 1957 she was too messed up by all the Hollywood types plus her mega screwed up childhood , found out she was molested several times in foster homes but she said it didn't bother her that much - I think her mother was just screwballs and it really fucked her brain up being abandoned . People who knew her said she would go from one group of acquaintances to the next without ever returning to see how anybody was doing , I have that same weird dynamic with similar childhood so that was interesting for me to read about .
