I've heard of moms doing that kinda shit to their sons, dressing them up like girls when they were babies just because they were "pretty"... let me tell you, those men rarely turn out alright. It's a good thing Bob's personality and will were strong enough to kick past it.
TBH, this may be why he's into women's boots. For real. Not saying it's all that weird to be into women's boots if you're a man who probably has small enough feet to make it work. But there could be some crossover there on a psychological level.
I mean, if you're a male and your mom TELLS YOU that you should have been a girl? That's gonna leave an impression on you no matter how strong your mind/will are.
