I would be extremely suspicious of that diagnosis...
Reading some of the comments is pretty telling too...
A lot of people saying they were diagnosed with this and that, did nothing, and are still alive 30 years later, that type of stuff.
I have always said, when you receive a serious diagnosis, get a second and third opinion, at least 100 miles away from the original doc and preferably in another state.
I know this is all worlds easier said than done, for anybody with the means, let alone someone who is a position where they've been struggling just to get by.
