You know the thing is...
People don't really tend to have their own websites anymore.
At least not sites which are built around a community.
It's all hosted on social media now...
Community sites were sort of replaced by Facebook pages and whatnot.
Instead of having their own sites, people just got a Facebook page instead.
I've been online since 1997 (when I was 7, LOL) and of course I grew up DREAMING of the day when I could have my own domain name/website.
So funny to look back on...
I've had a lot of internet experience since that point and it's only ever reinforced my belief that having your own website is 100% necessary.
