Thank you Chatwoman! That means a lot! I really enjoy making textures
and seeing how colors blend and work with the uneven, gritty surface.
I want to write this series of "blurbs" out into a full-on short story one day.
I wanted them to read - for the purposes of being paired with the paintings -
as though they were half dramatic story, half police/autopsy report. Nothing flashy,
just kind of matter-of-factly monotone. I thought it would lend to the creepiness
of the events being detailed.
And Dev - I think maybe Lawton was his hometown and the killer wanted to
send him off where he entered this world. So probably abducted in OKC and
taken to Lawton. Left on the playground in a cruel twist of irony. Also. very likely
he was an abuser too.
I enjoyed this series but it was pretty fuckin' heavy. The subject matter. So I'm thinking
my next series will be on the paranormal. Or something.
