I didn't even know trail shelters existed.
People in the comments are stating the obvious about homeless people being on these trails now.

With homelessness rampant as fuck, of course there are gonna be a bunch of homeless people in the shelters and in the trail areas that are super near towns etc.
It's nuts for an attractive female to be hiking solo, maybe 20+ years ago there was way less to worry about, but things have changed.
Whatevs, people are gonna do what they're gonna do...
Just wish they wouldn't eat total trash while they do it.
