We appear to be alone in the universe (Fermi Paradox) because (and among other reasons) we are enclosed in a tiny cell and we are absolutely microscopic...
We think "out there" is big, but it's only because we are so incalculably tiny in size.
It's all made of enclosed systems. Nothing gets in or out.
The "aliens" are from here, and they have always been here.
