I've had this song stuck in my head (which first of all like why) and the more I think about the lyrics, the more I'm like wow, Abba was really talking shit.
Wishing every show was the last show?? Like excuse me?? Guess we just won't come and see you then, like fuck you too.
Oh, your significant other is in the audience and THAT'S why you're happy tonight??? Like, what??
It reminds me of what Billy Corgan said that one time...
Bands get super successful and then they start singing about being on tour, and they become less relatable.
I was always like nah, songs about touring CAN be relatable if you've traveled at length or something.
But now I get it, like I think he was low key salty about the lyrics of some of those songs like I am.
Abba seems like such an innocuous band on the surface but this song is just rude as shit IMO.
